Architect, researcher, photographer

Akhil Singh is an architect and faculty assistant instructor based in New Orleans. He holds a Master of Architecture from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston, with minors in Architecture and Film Studies, plus a Ui/UX Professional Certification from Rice University.

His thesis research examines Lahaina, Hawai'i following the 2023 wildfire — a multi-scale recovery plan integrating water systems, slow mobility, and human-centered infrastructure for post-disaster urban redevelopment. He is a 2025 ACSA Masonry Competition winner, Tulane Travel Fellowship recipient, and ACSA Conference speaker with Yasushi Ishida.

Beyond architecture, Akhil is a photographer and writer — developing Time_book, a collection of narrative-driven short stories paired with imagery exploring the essence of time, and founding Faces of Tulane, a long-term photographic mural initiative capturing the university community.
